Back At Culver & El Segundo Saturdays

THREE SWIMS THIS WEEK! THREE SWIMS! Am I on the road to getting my pre-pandemic groove back? I think I am am, HONK HONK!

The Culver Swims are shorter (50 minutes rather than an hour) and we loose some time before getting in while lane assignments are given, but it’s close to home and super convenient. Only two swimmers are allowed per lane and we have to split the lane rather than circle swim. El Segundo allows five per lane and everyone circles.

So happy to see those trees from this view.

I’ve been getting about 1500 - 1800 in at Culver and close to 2500 at El Segundo. Today’s workout was actually 2900 and I felt amazing the entire time so I think my body has settled back in. I think I’ll stick to three swims per week for awhile as they each cost $15, so I’m spending $45 a week to swim. I’m so grateful to be working and able to do this.

I’m hoping that with more people receiving vaccinations, the City of Los Angeles will re-open their pools. I have a fairly unused lap pass with them…I think each swim is about $2.82 using that and I can stay for as long as I want. It will come in time.
