Swim Art: "How to Raise a Feminist Daughter" series by Egle Plytnikaite

This gorgeous illustration is part of series by Lithuanian freelance illustrator Egle Plytnikaite called “How to Raise a Feminist Daughter”. Egle shares:

“When a friend asked Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie for advice on how to raise her daughter as a feminist, the writer came up with 15 suggestions. Her ideas were so sharp and eye-opening that they ended up in a little book called "Dear Ijeawele, or A Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions".

It's one of the most inspiring and explicit books about feminism that I've ever read so I decided to illustrate five of Adichie suggestions. I hope this will help to spread the word about this brilliant book.”

I love the bold colors in each of Egle’s pieces; her body of work is consistent in look so it would make sense that she would have created such a strikingly beautiful portrait of this swimmer. And now all I want is an orange swimsuit!
