Monday Night SCAQ Swim

Back to normal for this Monday night swim. Not much to report, other than I never got out to the pool mid-week so I felt a little slow and creaky. That mid-week workout really does make a difference. I’ve noticed the more I mix up my workouts (swim, run, pilates, treadmill pilates, yoga, repeat) the slower I improve at any one thing, but I suppose that is not a surprise.
This was a very cold swim, as it had been raining for several days in a row. The pool temp was down a bit and the air was cold. The coming days are supposed to be mostly clear with sun, so I hope those rays get the water warmed up for the next week.
Other than that, I had the recent election on my mind for most of the swim. I am very nervous about this president. TBD, I guess.
The Workout:
- 300 warm up
- 3x150 free
- 9x25 kick, sprint, easy
- 300, 200, 100, with 50 kick in between
- 200 cool down
