Tuesday & Thursday Holiday Swims

December 27 and 29, 2016

My office was closed between the Christmas and New Year holidays, and we were in LA, so I took advantage of mid-morning swimming at the Culver Plunge on both Tuesday and Thursday. So luxurious! I love vacation! Their daytime public lap swim hours are amazing! They are open from early morning until 2:00 pm for public swimming. I wish all pools were so easy and accessible like that for public lap swim.

Both times the pool was configured for the long length which was a refreshing change from the typical short length I swim. I decided to do some solid distance swims, so my first workout was long, short, long, and then my second one was a build-up with intermittent pull sets.

I was expecting the pool to be deserted but that wasn’t the case. The weather in town was quite warm – on Thursday it was 82 degrees at 11:00 am! Something to do with an unusual weather pattern between the rain storms we’ve been having.

Wednesday Workout:

  • 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 free
  • 100 pull in between each
