Waters Getting Warmer

The access to the long lanes at USC continues, however, the water is getting warmer with the temperature inching towards the dive pool’s. Ugh. Last Monday, the water was blissfully cool and crisp; my arms felt like they were slicing through the water and my body followed so smoothly. Today the water felt like bread dough, thick, solid, mucky.

Of course it may have just been me. This was the first time I did not use my fins during a workout, so I was feeling slow. The workout was long and repetitive, too:

  • 300 free warm-up

  • 5 x 100 free

  • 4 x 150 free

  • 3 x 150 free

  • 4 x 100 free

  • 50 cool down
