Saturday Afternoon Swim

After the instruction on how to hold a kickboard during my previous swim, I wanted to make sure I used the kickboard during this swim. I managed to get in 400 of the 2,000 dedicated to kicking, and I made sure to use all the techniques I learned from SCAQ Coach Clay Evans and YouTube Coach Robb Beams. All the tips made a difference, too! My kicking never felt better! Now I just need to keep it up.

 

The day couldn’t have been better at the pool, especially with my own lane for the entire swim. A cloudy sky in the morning must have prevented people from coming out, but halfway through the swim, the sun was out and shining proud.

 

The Workout:

  • 4 rounds, 100 free, 50 kick, 50 pull
  • 800 free
  • 4 rounds, 50 free, 50 kick, 50 pull
