Saturday Morning Swim

My third visit to the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center happened to fall on the first day of a holiday weekend, so I was in a good mood and super ready for a good work out. My energy was bolstered knowing that after the swim was lunch at and a visit to The Huntington Gardens. Even better? My better half joined me for a workout at the pool! The cherry on top was that we each got our own lane.
My swim was really fantastic. I fed off Nās energy in the next lane and enjoyed watching him out of the corner of my eye. The laps literally flew by. I was really happy that he chose to join me for a swim, and that he felt challenged by it. It makes me want to try doing the stair workouts he does every so often. Maybe. I like the pool better, I think.
